About Georgia tides
Georgia and the Carolinas run the biggest ranges on the Southeast coast — 7 to 10 ft through marsh creeks and barrier-island inlets that rearrange themselves with every storm.
Georgia has 69 NOAA tide stations — 22 reference stations whose predictions come from harmonic analysis of observations there, and 47 subordinate stations calculated from them. The biggest tidal range in the state is at Port Wentworth — 8.6 ft between mean higher high water and mean lower low water.
