About Florida tides

Two coasts, two personalities: modest 2 to 4 ft semidiurnal ranges on the Atlantic side, mixed tides on the Gulf side, and king tides that flood streets on calm, sunny days.

Florida has 586 NOAA tide stations — 211 reference stations whose predictions come from harmonic analysis of observations there, and 375 subordinate stations calculated from them. The biggest tidal range in the state is at Lofton, Lanceford Creek — 6.9 ft between mean higher high water and mean lower low water.
